Isabell Werth’s Lebenspartner Wolfgang Urban lebt nicht mehr. Wie die Deutsche Presseagentur berichtet, verstarb der ehemalige Topmanager am Montag völlig überraschend und unerwartet im Alter von 80 Jahren.
Isabell Werth’s partner, Wolfgang Urban, is no longer alive. As the German Press Agency reports, the former top manager died suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday at the age of 80.
Isabell Werth nannte ihn ‚ihren Fels in der Brandung‘ – Wolfgang Urban, Der ehemalige Topmanager – Vorstandsvorsitzender der KarstadtQuelle AG, Vorstandssprecher des METRO Konzerns und zuletzt Vorstandsvorsitzender der Kaufhof Holding AG – und die erfolgreichste Dressurreiterin aller Zeiten lernten sich 2001 kennen; 2009 kam der gemeinsame Sohn Frederik zur Welt.
Urban hielt sich in der Reiterszene meist im Hintergrund, war aber unerschütterlich an Isabell Werths Seite und der Manager im Hintergrund.
Isabell Werth war gerade aus Shanghai zurückgekommen, wo sie zusammen mit Katharina Hemmer, Ann-Kathrin Linsenhoff-Rath und Klaus-Martin und Matthias Alexander Rath über die mögliche Förderung des Dressursports in China gesprochen hatte. Der Tod von Wolfgang Urban kam Medienberichten zufolge völlig unerwartet.
