Das CHIO der Niederlande fand bis zum Sonntag in Rotterdam statt. Es gab einen Heimsieg für die Niederländer in der Dressur und den ersten irischen Springsieg im Großen Preis von Rotterdam seit 1964.
The CHIO of the Netherlands took place until sunday in Rotterdam. There was a win on home turf for the Dutch dressage riders and the first victory of an Irish showjumper since 1964 in the showjumping Grand Prix of Rotterdam.
Die Niederlande – wer sonst? So lautete das Ergebnis des Nationenpreises in der Dressur. Das Quartett Dinja van Liere / Hermes (die sowohl den Grand Prix als auch den Spécial für sich entscheiden konnte), Emmelie Scholtens / Indian Rock, Thamar Zweistra / Hexagon’s Ich weiss und Lynne Maas / Eastpont siegte vor dem Team aus den USA (Ashley Holzer / Valentine, Benjamin Ebeling / Illuster vd Kampert, Alice Tarjan / Serenade und Katie Duerrhammer / Paxton) und der Mannschaft Swedens (Patrik Kittel / Blue Hors Zepter, Jeanna Hogberg / Astoria, Tinne Vilhelmsson Silfven / Devanto und Jacob Noerby Soerensen / Sheeran).
Insbesondere im Team der Schweden gab es eine Kombi, die man – gerade auch im Hinblick auf die kommenden Weltmeisterschaften in Herning – auf dem Zettel haben sollte, und zwar Patrik Kittel mit Blue Hors Zepter. Der 14-jährige Zepter, ein Oldenburger Wallach von Blue Hors Zack aus einer Wolkentanz II-Mutter, wurde Zweiter im Grand Prix und siegte (mit 80,465%) in der Kür.
Der Longines Grand Prix von Rotterdam, eine internationale Springprüfung 1,60m mit Stechen, sah den Iren Daniel Coyle mit Oak Grove’s Carlyle als Siegerpaar. 14 Reiter:innen hatten es ins Stechen geschafft; am Ende siegte Coyle nach einer Null-Fehler-Runde in 36,69 Sek. vor dem Niederländer Kevin Jochems mit Cornetboy (0 / 37,20 Sek) und Julien Epaillard aus Frankreich mit Caracole de la Roque (0 / 37,49 Sek). Bester Deutscher Reiter war Marcel Marschall mit Coolio, der mit einer vier-Fehler-Runde in 41,09 Sekunden als 14. die Platzierung genau verpasst hatte.

The four riders Dinja van Liere / Hermes (who won both the Grand Prix and the Spécial), Emmelie Scholtens / Indian Rock, Thamar Zweistra / Hexagon’s Ich weiss And Lynne Maas / Eastpont claimed the victory ahead of the team from the US (Ashley Holzer / Valentine, Benjamin Ebeling / Illuster vd Kampert, Alice Tarjan / Serenade and Katie Duerrhammer / Paxton) and the Swedish riders (Patrik Kittel / Blue Hors Zepter, Jeanna Hogberg / Astoria, Tinne Vilhelmsson Silfven / Devanto and Jacob Noerby Soerensen / Sheeran).
In the Swedish team, there was one to watch – especially with regard to the coming world championships in Herning: Sweden’s Patrik Kittel with Blue Hors Zepter. The 14year old Oldenbourg gelding by Blue Hors Zack x Wolkentanz II finished as runner-up in the Grand Prix and claimed the victory in the freestyle to music with a result of 80,465%.
TheLongines Grand Prix of Rotterdam, an international jumping competition 1,60m with jump-off, saw Irish rider Daniel Coyle with Oak Grove’s Carlyle as big winners. A total of 14 riders had managed to reach the jump-off – and at the end, Coyle could claim the victory with his clear round in 36,69 seconds. Local hero Kevin Jochems and Cornetboy finished as runner-ups (0 / 37,20 sec) ahead of French rider Julien Epaillard with Caracole de la Roque (0 / 37,49 sec). Best German rider was Marcel Marschall with Coolio, who finished on 14th place after his 4-pts-round in 41,09 seconds and therefore missed the placing by just one spot.
